A whole new world...

Hello!   As this is our first post to our blog and essentially a test, hang with us...

If you are reading this you already know that we are moving to China...soon...very soon...

In fact our last day in the US will be January 6th.  We just got back from a trip to Shanghai on December 12th.  It was quite a trip, our goal was to find schooling and housing for our move and we were successful!  The house is big enough for all of us and even has a small yard (hard to find in Shanghai!!).  The school is called Concordia, a Christian International School, and is about 1-2 miles from our house.

We spent enough time in Shanghai to get a good feeling for what living there will be like.   Crazy taxi rides, grocery stores with lots of great looking "live" food, lots of people,  fascinating architecture...in many ways it reminded us of New York City.  Here are a couple of pics we took...

We are now busy trying to pack and make sure we fill out all the right paperwork (there is lot's of it!) for our international move.  Oh yeah, there is that Christmas thing in between...

Hey you guys! Glad you are finally done travelling. It is always hard with international travel. Osaka is where Matt lived for a while. Cool. Take care and remember, you are in our prayers. Love you, the Boyds

Th/1-10-2008/3:21PM (US_EST)This is Uncle Bob and I'm leaving this 2nd comment as "Anonymous" 'til I find how do it differently (on the other hand, why bother to find another way if THIS works?). I hope that you have lots of "great life" and stay well AND safe.
