Tanner's School Trip
Tanner left for Xi'an on Monday. Every year, from 5th grade up, the students go on an adventure in China. The 6th grade class goes to Xi'an for 5 days - 5 really long days, for Mom that is! He was a bit nervous but at the same time excited to embark on this journey. These trips are meant to give the kids a bit more of a taste of China. He was very excited that he was able to room with his best friend Adam and another friend Sean. He called on Monday to let me know he arrived safely & was having a good time. Another e-mail came through today, from a 6th grade teacher, saying that everyone is having a great time & they had a chance to see the Terra Cotta Warriors, Wild Goose Pagoda & much more exciting pieces of China. The kids were not allowed to bring their cell phones - it has been weird not hearing his voice daily! I will have him blog on his trip when he returns. He also took our camera so he will be able to post a few of his favorite pictures. 3 more days until he is home!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anxious to read Tanner's blog and see the pictures he took.
Kim - think of this as a micro-mini preview of going off to college.....or moving away -ie: half way around the world!
What an experience he is having - good for him! Actually - all of you are having an amazing experience. Of course a few Targets, Michaels, Kohls, etc. would add nicely to the experience!
